But you can call me Marie for obvious sanity reasons.
I was born and bred in Paris, France, where I bottled up much of its legendary elegance, aesthetics and romanticism that shape the way I see the world today.
My mission is to infuse the way I shoot weddings with that little bit of magic, and deliver photographs that elegantly and subtly sublime the most important day of your life, in a simple and unobtrusive way.
My style is a great match for couples who value quality over quantity, are attracted to the beautiful things in life without being ostentatious, have an eye for beauty and love to travel to places filled with art, cafés, and Nutella crêpes.
You've made it this far so here's a bit of a back story:
Paris, late 90s. I'm a law student at the time, spending most of my time commuting in the endless corridors of the busy Parisian subway. I do not love it, but law is as good a career as any, I tell myself.
The beauty of life, however, is that it rarely turns out how we plan it. I picked up a camera along the path of my corporate years, quit my day job to become a full-time wedding photographer and here we are now, 10 years in and counting.
Today, I love to bring visions to life through poetic photographs and celebrate people in love, their friends and family. It feels like it's what I was meant to be all along and I can't be more grateful.
READ ABOUT WORKING WITH ME
This is probably the first concern my couples have when they come to me. My response is simple: Almost all the people I work with are not professional models and have never been professionally photographed. As such, I do not expect them to know what to do. It is my job as a photographer to guide you to make you look your best while still your authentic self, and have fun in the process.
The photos are delivered in a beautifully tiled online gallery. This is a beautiful, easy and intuitive way to view and share your precious memories. The photos can be downloaded individually or as a whole set directly from there in high resolution. And if you don't want to share, that's ok too, I can make your gallery private. Complimentary USB keys are also available upon request.
Beautifully crafted photos take some time, so please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
Yes, absolutely! Editing is a crucial part of the final look of the photos you will receive. It ensures consistency of colour palette, temperature and overall look and feel. I always make sure the photos are not over-processed to ensure their timeless quality. There's a current trend where photos have vintage or hipster filters applied to them but they may look dated in a few years. My personal favourite style is the look of classic film stock like Portra 400 which has been around for decades. It has a soft film look but still retains true-to-life colours and beautiful skin tones.
Yes! A huge part of my work covers photographing weddings from a wide range of cultures including Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Lebanese, Indian and more. I've shot dozens of tea ceremonies and other rituals. I love, embrace and respect the diversity of the wedding world.
